Why's the song the only exception by paramore make me feel strange/sad?

I don't know what it is when ever I hear it it punches me in the heart. I think it's a beautiful song but it hits me hard. I'm not an emotional person and I listen to rap. Like once there was a concert at my school and one of the contestants started to play it on guitar and sing it and I turned as white as a ghost. There's a girl i really like who's obsessed with paramore and looks like Hayley Williams could that be it? I'm nor sure what it is.
