Why am I not seeing results?

I am trying to lose some weight and I don't seem to be seeing many results. I'm not trying to lose a lot, just a but of fat that I gained in my first year of college. I feel like I've been doing most things right to lose this weight but there are some things I know I haven't been good about. I have made my diet healthier within the past several months. I'm a vegetarian already but I've increased the amour of vegetables I eat and decreased the amount of junk food. Also just recently I started drinking protein shakes. I do some cardio everyday. I try to swim for 20 minutes and an hour walk/jog everyday that I can and go to the gym a few days a week for cardio and strength training. The cardio I do is probably not as intense as it should be because I have low endurance, and always have. How can I make my cardio exercise more effective. Also the main mistakes that I'm making are in terms of eating. Ice cream is my weakness. I have cut back but I still sometimes find myself eating two bows. Also I often get big cravings at night and I feel nauseus if I don't eat, so I eat. Is this the main cause of the lack of results? What should I do differently?

I would do it if I were u. Your basically giving up rebounds for assists. All 4 players score right around the same amount of points - outside of Harrington. I think it really depends on the scoring and stat's in your league. If Rebounds are 2 of 7 categories with O Boards and D Boards each a category then I'd say no, but if your in a traditional 11 category league or Roto I would definately do it. You have players who get a good amount of rebounds already...(Noah, Durant, Gasol, Side Show bob, Nene, even Rondo) without Green and Harrington. I mean there are so many unknown factors from my vantage point its really hard to make a true assessment, but plain and simple Stephen Jackson and Chauncey Billups together are better than 3rd year player Jeff Green and 6th man Al Harrington. I understand if Melo gets traded, Harrington's value increases but that is such an unknown factor at this point.

I'm originally from Bangladesh, a small country in South Asia. Actually, my parents are from there. I was born in Italy. But my roots are from there. I went there a month ago to see my sick granddad. And I am sickened by how the men their treat their women. They treat them like cattle and property. It is a highly patriarchal society. The women cook, clean and look after the children and don't work. 99% of women there are traditional housewives who bow down to their husbands and kiss their feet. My mom however, is a doctor. She is one of the very few women who work. But she still cooks, cleans, looks after my little brother and works. My dad is unemployed at the moment. He doesn't do anything. He just eats, sleeps and goes to the toilet. He occasionally helps my mom. And my parents live in Australia, which is a western society. Sometimes, I wish I could teach my dad a MAJOR lesson. But how? I honestly don't understand how my mom could bear all this. My dad is not that bossy unlike the other Bangladeshi men. He does listen to my mom and he DOES what my mom tells him to do. But he just has a know it all attitude that annoys me. Well, anyway this isn't about my family. It's about my auntie and other women who go through the pain. My auntie is among the 1% who go to work in Bangladesh. She told me her everyday scenario from first thing in the morning is waking up, making breakfast for husband and then apparently getting scolded and getting divorce threats from her husband for making a crap breakfast, then going to work in a crammed bus, and then taking bs from sexist boss. She told me her boss teases and makes fun of her for working because she is a female. Then, after a long & tiring day at work she goes home again to be yelled at by her husband. Her husband accuses her of coming home so late! WTF!!! This is SO messed up! I mean her husband eats FREE, doesn't help around the house at ALL, doesn't work and yet he yells at her for working late so that HE gets his daily bread! And my auntie is actually a housewife. She has to work because her husband either can't find a job or is TOO lazy to work! And the rest of the 99% of women don't even get the chance to work because if they work they APPARENTLY will become DISOBEDIENT to their husbands and fathers and become too smart. They stay home and lick their husbands feet and tolerate their BS. The average Bangladeshi woman is dependent on their male relatives their whole entire life, from birth till death. From birth till maturity she is dependent upon her father. After that she is married off & is therefore is dependent upon her husband. And when her husband is old and retires she is dependent upon her son (if she has one). In marriages, the girl has to go live in her husband's parents house where she serves her husband & in laws, especially her mother and father in law. After that she is pressured by husband & in-laws to give birth to a son. I have seen guys go as far as divorcing their wives and marrying new ones because their ex wives have failed to give birth to a son. The women have no say in public matters and society related issues. They are are usually told to shut up because they "don't know anything". I am horribly disgusted with this disgusting attitude towards women and relieved at the same time because I am lucky enough to not be in their shoes. I want to know why these women are so subjugated and oppressed. I really don't understand. Thank u to people who have decided to read my long and rather boring rant! It really feels good to let out all of that frustration!

My upper right eyelid keeps twitching?

Okay so for almost 1 month now, my right upper eye lid keeps twitching in the corner. It's driving me nuts! It happened I wanna say when my 9 month old sucker punched me. It could of been doing it before that I just don't remember. So on top of that, I usually have this problem with restless leg syndrome. I've never gone to the doctor for either. I have Harrington Rods in my back, I've been in a lot of pain for almost 2 months. I finally sucked it up and went to the doctor last week. I have an MRI scheduled for the 25th. I'm worried because I've noticed a change in my nerves. Like my back the other day felt like something was trying to bulge out, and then my left hand felt numb (the same feeling you get after mowing the law or weed whacking). Need help with a 90s game show?

Ok the only thing I remember about this game show is that there was a round (possibly the final round?) where one contestant of a pair would start at the bottom of a set of steps. On each step there was a challenge where the other contestant of the pair not on the steps would have to guess. I believe one of the steps was a pictionary-type challenge. Amazing music heard in a dream?

I had a vivid dream last night and I remember some of the details which I will describe. In the dream, I was in some sort of competition that took place in this parallel universe where it was like old times, but in the future ( like star wars for example ). It was a huge circular stadium type place that was greyish/blueish/metallic and the spectators and the guy running the competition were dressed like Romans. In fact, now that I think about it, it resembled the stadium in Rome where the gladiators fought in the past. The contestants were large group teams, with like 30-40 people each, except I was in my own team by myself. We were each standing on our own platforms in the center of the colosseum and the part of the competition I remember included a question and answer section. We were asked some sort of philosophical/social question, which I do not remember exactly, but it had something to do with which form of society was best, one where everyone was tolerated (different religions, beliefs etc) or one where everyone was the same and forced to live according to the same universal format etc. The question was something about which one was correct or functional. I remember answering that the only one that will work was the freedom/respect/tolerance one, and a few other teams also answered similarity, but most, ablest like 70% of the teams there answered that the totalitarian/everyone forced to be the same/ system was optimal. The host, who was standing on his own tall platform, then told us that the correct answer was the free society, and then he swooped in and tackled all the teams that answered incorrectly, stating something like "if you don't know this basic tenant, then you don't deserve to run a society" or something like that (it was much more epic, I just don't remember the quote), and the teams he tackled fell when the platforms they were standing on opened underneath them, and I guess they were out of the game. Then my platform, and the few teams that answered started rising in their platforms and this awesome music started playing. It has some deep strings and synth strings, and the lyrics were a phrase in another language repeating over the music. I don't remember the phrase anymore, but I did when I first awoken but I fell asleep again. It was something like "mum ba ka" and a lady and choir were singing it. It was intense, scary and sublime all in one. I have had SEVERAL dreams where I hear the most amazing music that doesn't exist in real life. Has anyone else heard amazing original music in a dream?

Martial arts training afters scoliosis surgery?

I had scoliosis surgery 12 years ago and have harrington rods on my spine. However, i have done may activities since the surgery, including taekwondo for two years, without issues and have now considered hapkido. I was just wondering if it is safe for people who have had this surgery considering the throwing and falling of this martial art. I have done a little of it in my taekwondo class and didn't have issues, but we never got to the full extent of falling and throwing.

What do you think is wrong with my parents dog?

I think my parents dog is having strokes. He will suddenly convulsively tilt his head to one side and the eye on that side will partially close. His body will also bend that way like a bow. He also has balance issues and starts walking sideways. Then he gets up again and is *fine* 5 seconds later. And I mean totally fine, complete with running and jumping and acting completely normal. This has been going on for a few years with maybe one episode a year, but in the last few days it has been happening 10-20 times a day. The vet did give them Diazepam 2mg and told them to give them half a tablet to stop the 'seizures' it's not really doing anything and I don't think that is the problem. My parents won't follow up or get him actually checked out. Any one have any ideas?

Dan Harrington is the man if you are learning the game. Gus's book is a great read but it won't teach you how to play good poker. You won't get very good at poker if you only buy one book though, there is always something new to learn. I was stranded on the highway with a strange family and I remembered that my best friend worked at a fast food place up the road so I walked there and he gave me free food. Then I explained my situation to him and told him how broke I was. He suggested that I join a beauty pageant the hotel next door was holding. it was a week long pageant with both male and female contestants where you stayed in the hotel and they judged all aspects of your life. I was not very well behaved....I slept with a male contestant, got in a fight with another contestant, was rude to a restaurant owner when he wouldn't serve me a beer and got in a fight with the pageant director when she reminded me I was being judged on my behavior. The dream ended there but I realized I had been extremely stressed the entire dream.

Not sure why you think "horrifically bad" but I got the picture. The purpose of telling a story, be it fiction or non, is to communicate a thought or idea. I thought it was very descriptive of the details and created a scenario I could see in my head and almost experience with my senses. You gave enough detail but did not overdue it to the extent of boredom. When people read fiction they want the experience of feeling like they are there. Just keep finding descriptions of detail that triggers the readers senses. Like right now I am thinking of chocolate! I can see it, smell it and taste it though I have not even bought it yet:) Just keep in mind it is easier to make the reader experience something they have actually experienced. When it comes to something less common, pay special attention to the key details to make it come alive. Your little excerpt here scores an A+ in my book!!

Sux, or Suxamethonium Chloride, or Succinylcholine Chloride, or Scoline is a powerful muscle relaxant used in anaesthesia. Nothing wrong with the idea at all in fact it would make a good story. The only thing I would suggest you look at is the names you have chosen - Bianca and Garret. I am not too sure about Eldon either but it could quite easily be a name in Victorian times. I assume you mean Isaiah for the coroner as I don't think Asaiah fits. Having said that I have been wrong many times but I do think you should research the names to make sure they fit especially in Victorian London. Also bear in mind that London in that period was a crowded stinking place to live rife with disease and crime. It is an intriguing story line and I am dying to know how the bodies are being revived, why they are on a murderous spree and how they are defeated in the end. Outboard trim on nitro fishing boat not working?!?

Ok so i have a nitro bass boat with a 1999 mercury 150hp xr6 outboard on it. I went to test everything out the other day and I noticed that the trim button on the motor itself works to trim the motor up or down. However the trim button on my throttle lever, nor the trim buttons near my bow mount trolling motor work. I checked the fuse panel under the console, and didnt find any broken fuses. I also unplugged the two relays on the backside of the outboard to check for corrosion, and could not find any. Im running out of solutions, can anyone please help with what you think my problem may be, or help me with a way to trace down what my problem is?

You don't necessarily have the clarify the race or sub-race of the narrator within the first couple of paragraphs. Should i trade my old dirtbike for a shotgun?

I've always liked Jack for an upper class gentleman but sense the brother is Johnathan I would go for Michael or Maxwell. As for the mom I wouldn't do Elizabeth, it's been so over used as for Charles. Something like Jenine or Catherine for the mom. I can't think a good one for the dad. What I've done for my books is look at peoples names around you (family and friends) and strangers. Alright i know this is pretty random, but i have this old price is right episode in my head. So I was just in a pageant and there were 25 contestants. I thought I did pretty well until they announced top 10 (actually 11) and my name wasn't called. Those names are all very pretty but I will let you know what we did just to give you even more to think about, lol. For the first name, we chose a name that we both loved and that was different (but not so different that people would think we named him while I was drugged up during labor, LOL). It didn't matter if it had any family significance, we just didn't want a name where the teacher will call out his name and five kids say "present". The middle name though had to have some significance. If it was a girl, we would have used Mary Elizabeth after my grandma and aunt who are both deceased but since it is a boy, it will be James after my husbands dad who passed away shortly after our wedding. It was important to us to honor these people in our lives - are there any family names that also stand out (or maybe these are family names too??). Either the Pirastro Goldflex or the Gold has little flecks of gold inside, which doesn't really make a difference in the rosin, but it looks cool I guess. I might go with one of those, since most violinists use lighter rosin since it's less sticky than dark rosin and allows for a clearer sound when you play.
